Position: Driver I

Qualification and Technical Skills Required

• Completed Grade 10 education.
• Possess a valid 3rd Grade Driving License.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant driving experience.
• Good knowledge of safety regulations and traffic rules.
• Basic auto mechanic skills.
• Ability to conduct security checks and vehicle inspections.
• Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Major Responsibilities

Safety

• Safely drive vehicles to transport personnel and goods.
• Conduct security checks (brakes, tires, lights, horn, etc.) before trips.
• Use protective padding to prevent damage to goods during transit.

Operation

• Transport passengers and materials safely to designated destinations.
• Take preventive measures to minimize accidents and risks.
• Submit daily reports on mileage, fuel consumption, and trip details.
• Ensure safety of tools, accessories, and assigned vehicle.
• Report any road accidents to supervisor within 24 hours.

Maintenance

• Perform minor mechanical repairs (e.g., changing tires, bulbs, spark plugs, fan belts).
• Wash, clean, and grease vehicle regularly.
• Follow up on service schedules and arrange timely maintenance.
