Position: Inventory Officer
The Inventory Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory transactions, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring efficient inventory control systems. The role ensures stock levels are properly maintained to support operations while minimizing losses and discrepancies.
Required Qualification
- BA Degree in Logistics, Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or related fields
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and materials
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of products
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and finance departments
- Track slow-moving, damaged, or expired items and report accordingly
- Ensure compliance with company inventory policies and procedures
- Maintain proper documentation for all inventory transactions
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation
