ABOUT ETHIOPIAN CAPITAL MARKET AUTHORITY
The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) was established under Capital Market Proclamation No. 1248/2021 as an autonomous federal regulatory body. ECMA plays a central role in shaping Ethiopia’s financial future by ensuring a fair, transparent, and efficient capital market environment for the issuance and trading of securities. ECMA licenses and supervises securities exchanges, depositories, capital market service providers, and other regulated entities under its jurisdiction.
POSITION 1: Senior Securities Registration & Reporting Officer I
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or Banking & Finance.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in financial reporting or analysis.
- Professional certification (CPA/ACCA or similar) required.
Key Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and corporate financial reporting.
- Skilled in investment analysis, portfolio management, and capital allocation.
- Familiar with company laws and capital market instruments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and critical thinking abilities.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant digital tools.
- Certifications in corporate finance or capital markets are a plus.
POSITION 2: Senior Securities Registration & Reporting Officer II
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant legal or regulatory experience.
Key Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of company law and capital market regulations.
- Strong skills in legal analysis, research, and compliance review.
- Experience in assessing regulatory filings and financial/legal documents.
- Ability to manage time, maintain confidentiality, and deliver under tight timelines.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Certifications in capital markets or finance law are advantageous.
