Position 1: Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable
Role Summary
Responsible for managing accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate vendor payments, compliance with accounting standards, and timely financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- CPA qualification preferred
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Senior Accountant – General Ledger
Role Summary
Leads general ledger activities, financial reconciliations, and month-end closings in line with international accounting standards.
Qualifications
- CPA(K), ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree (Honors) in Accounting or related fields
- 2–3 years’ accounting experience in an international company or audit firm
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 3: Performance Management Reporting & Analysis Expert
Role Summary
Responsible for analyzing network performance, incident management, and engineering reporting, ensuring network quality and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum 8 years of experience in network performance, analysis, planning, or engineering
- Experience with incident and problem management systems
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 4: Software Engineer – FinTech Operations
Role Summary
Supports and develops FinTech and mobile money systems, payment technologies, and digital financial solutions for Safaricom Ethiopia’s expanding FinTech ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in mobile money support, banking systems, FinTech, DFS, or related areas
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related fields
- Strong Unix/Linux administration skills
- Proficient in Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, GaussDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.
- Knowledge of payment gateway technologies (IPG, APIGEE)
- Understanding of JSON, SOAP, Swagger Open APIs
- Experience with DevOps tools: Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana, Zabbix, etc.)
