The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority is a Federal Regulatory Authority established under Capital Market Proclamation No. 1248/2021. ECMA oversees Ethiopia’s capital markets to ensure fair, efficient, and orderly issuance and trading of securities. The Authority licenses and supervises securities exchanges, derivative markets, depository and clearing entities, and capital market service providers.
ECMA plays a central role in shaping Ethiopia’s financial future by promoting transparency, investor protection, and a modern market ecosystem.
Position 1: Junior Investigation & Enforcement Officer
Role Summary
An entry-level regulatory role supporting investigations, compliance reviews, and enforcement activities within the capital market environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting investigations on market participants
- Support compliance monitoring and reporting activities
- Review financial documents, market transactions, and related records
- Participate in enforcement actions under supervision
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records
- Contribute to market integrity efforts and investor protection mandates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Economics, Accounting & Finance, Banking & Finance, or related fields
- 0–1 year experience
