ABOUT MEBA MICROFINANCE
Meba Microfinance Institution S.C is a newly established microfinance institution under formation, registered by the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE). With headquarters in Addis Ababa, Meba is in the final stages of completing the regulatory requirements to launch its full-scale operations. As an emerging player in the financial services sector, Meba aims to drive financial inclusion and economic empowerment through responsive microfinance solutions tailored to underserved communities.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Officer will be responsible for planning and executing promotional campaigns, conducting market research, enhancing brand awareness, and supporting Meba’s strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive marketing professional with a strong foundation in digital tools, communication, and customer engagement — preferably with experience in the financial or service sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement marketing and promotional activities to strengthen brand visibility
- Conduct market research to gather customer insights and inform business strategies
- Support strategic planning and outreach campaigns aligned with institutional goals
- Drive customer engagement through effective messaging and digital content
- Collaborate across departments to ensure consistent and impactful brand communication
- Support resource mobilization efforts and stakeholder engagement strategies
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field - Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant marketing experience (preferably in financial or service sectors) - Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and campaign execution
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with statistical tools such as SPSS or STATA
- Experience with branding, content creation, and market segmentation
- Team-oriented with strong coordination and reporting capabilities
