About the Initiative
Through reform programs and newly developed digital platforms, the Ministry of Labor and Skills has facilitated over 146,000 overseas employment opportunities for Ethiopian citizens in just five months. In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international partners, the ministry now offers a secure, transparent, and fast-track application process that protects the rights, safety, and welfare of citizens working abroad.
This large-scale deployment initiative ensures that trained and skilled manpower is matched with international job opportunities in key sectors. Citizens are strongly encouraged to register via the Ethiopian Labor Market Information System (LMIS) to begin the application and training process.
