Position: Project Assistant
Employment Type: Temporary Contract (Project-based)
Contract Duration: 6 months (renewable based on performance & budget)
Duty Station: Addis Ababa (Bisrate Gabriel / Old Airport Area)
Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
Expected Start Date: Q1, 2026 (TBD)

Salary: Competitive (paid in ETB based on prevailing exchange rate)
About Korea Business Center Addis Ababa
Korea Business Center Addis Ababa operates under KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), a governmental institution of the Republic of Korea. The Center’s mission is to promote trade and investment cooperation between Korea and Ethiopia, including regional coverage of Djibouti and Seychelles, by providing market intelligence, business support, and project facilitation.
Position: Project Assistant
Eligibility & Education
- Ethiopian citizen or holder of a valid work/residence permit in Ethiopia
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferred in:
- Marketing or Market Research
- Trade, Import & Export
- Business Support (Public Sector)
- Project Management
- International Organizations, Embassies, or Development Agencies
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) – mandatory
- Proof of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, Duolingo, etc.) is preferred
- French or Korean language skills are an advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Support trade promotion and investment-related projects
- Assist in market intelligence, research, and reporting
- Coordinate business support activities and stakeholder engagement
- Prepare presentations, reports, and official documentation
- Provide administrative and project coordination support
Technical & Other Skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment
- Attention to detail and professional communication skills
Contract & Work Conditions
- Temporary 6-month project-based contract
- 2-month probation period included
- Possibility of extension based on performance and project budget
