POSITION SUMMARY
The Junior Quality and Safety Assurance Officer will ensure food services at Ethiopian Airlines meet HACCP and GMP standards. This role involves monitoring compliance, performing quality checks, and ensuring safety practices across all food preparation and service operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Option 1 (Degree Holder):
- BSc in Food Science, Biology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in food services, food quality assurance, or cook roles
- Experience with HACCP & GMP standards is mandatory
Option 2 (Diploma/Certificate Holder):
- College Diploma/10+3/Level III Certificate in:
- Food Preparation
- Foreign Dish Cooking
- Ethiopian Cultural Food Preparation
- Confectionery, Baking & Pastry Making
- Hotel Operations or related fields
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in food services/quality assurance
- Experience with HACCP & GMP is mandatory
Age Requirement: 18–35 years
Language: Proficiency in English (mandatory)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct regular food safety and quality assurance inspections
- Monitor food production practices to ensure compliance with HACCP and GMP
- Assist in developing and implementing food safety guidelines
- Prepare reports and recommend improvements to ensure high food safety standards
- Coordinate with kitchen and food production teams to maintain hygiene compliance
