Position Summary: Junior Accountant
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our growing finance team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to develop their accounting skills in a fast-paced export/import business.
Key Qualifications:
- BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- Minimum 1 year of accounting work experience
- Strong grasp of GAAP / IFRS principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Understanding of AR/AP, debits, credits, and ledger entries
- Analytical mindset, eagerness to learn, and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial statements (income, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Support monthly and annual close procedures
- Help in bank reconciliations, journal entries, ledger updates
- Process invoices, expense reports, and AR/AP tasks
- Assist with audit preparations, document organization, and financial schedules
- Analyze data for budgeting, forecasting, and identifying variances
- General filing, scanning, and coordination with other departments
