Internship Openings & Requirements
Position 1: Accountant Intern
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
Qualifications & Skills:
- BA degree in Accounting from a recognized university (Graduated in 2024/2025)
- No prior experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication in English and Amharic
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, MS Teams)
- Team-oriented, coachable, and motivated to learn
- Willingness to work full-time and occasionally beyond regular hours
- NB: Intern must bring a functional laptop
Position 2: Intern – Coordinating Cleft Surgical Program
Duty Station: Hawassa, Sidama Regional State
Qualifications & Skills:
- BA in Medicine (Medical Doctor) from a recognized university (Graduated in 2024/2025)
- No prior experience required
- Excellent communication skills in English, Amharic, and Sidamigna or another local language
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and communication platforms
- Motivated to work in a hospital environment
- Strong teamwork and coordination ability
- Coachable and eager to learn
- Flexibility to work beyond normal hours if needed
- NB: Intern must bring a functional laptop
Compensation & Internship Terms
- This is a non-employment role and is considered a voluntary internship.
- Operation Smile Ethiopia will provide a fair stipend to cover daily costs.
- Interns will receive exposure, training, and support within a reputable international NGO.
