Position: Human Resources Officer
TradeEthiopia is seeking a qualified and organized Human Resources Officer to support the daily operations of the HR department. The role involves managing employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, assisting with payroll preparation, and ensuring compliance with Ethiopian labor laws and company policies.
The HR Officer will also contribute to maintaining a positive and professional work environment through effective employee relations, performance monitoring, and internal communication.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation
Monitor employee attendance and leave management systems
Prepare and organize HR reports and administrative documents
Recruitment and Onboarding
Assist in recruitment processes including job postings and candidate coordination
Support onboarding activities for newly hired employees
Ensure proper documentation and employee orientation
Payroll and Compliance
Prepare payroll-related information and attendance reports
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian Labor Proclamation and internal policies
Maintain accurate employee contracts and HR records
Employee Relations and Workplace Support
Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and employee concerns
Support performance management activities
Promote a positive workplace culture through effective communication
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field
- Minimum of two years of experience in a human resources or administrative role
- Strong understanding of Ethiopian Labor Proclamation and employment regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication tools
- Experience using HR portals or digital systems is required
- Excellent communication skills in both Amharic and English
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking abilities
