Safaricom Ethiopia is currently seeking qualified and experienced professionals to join its growing team in Addis Ababa. The company is inviting applications for the following positions.
Position 1: Senior Accountant – Credit Control
Educational Qualification
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related Finance fields from a recognized university
- ACCA qualification is an added advantage
Work Experience
- 3 – 4 years of experience in credit control administration or account management roles
- Experience in debt management within a well-established company working with multiple business partners
- Strong understanding of debt acquisition and management processes
- Experience in building financial models to evaluate financial plans
Technical Skills
- Experience using Oracle or other ERP systems

Position 2: Manager – Consumer Insight and Analysis
Experience Requirement
- 5 – 8 years of experience in areas such as:
- Commercial performance management
- Business planning
- Customer Value Management (CVM)
- Pricing strategy
- Data analytics
- Experience preferably within the telecommunications industry
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as:
- SQL
- Power BI
- Similar analytics platforms
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
- Strong database querying skills
- Proven ability to translate data insights into business strategies
- Strong understanding of telecom metrics such as:
- ARPU (Average Revenue Per User)
- Customer churn rate
- Customer segmentation

Position 3: Executive Head of Department – Reward & OE
Educational Qualification
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Social Sciences, or Business fields
- Higher National Diploma in Human Resources Management from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualification
- Postgraduate degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is an added advantage
Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience
- At least 4 years of leadership experience in Reward and Organizational Effectiveness (OE) roles
Required Competencies
- Strategic planning and decision-making skills
- Strong skills in organizational design and change management
- Ability to influence senior management and stakeholders
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external professional relationships
- Strong business acumen and conceptual thinking skills

Position 4: Deputy Chief Financial Officer
Educational Qualification
Applicants must have:
- Master’s Degree in Accounting or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a recognized university
- Professional certification such as:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Chartered Accountant qualification
Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in financial or management accounting within a large multinational organization
- At least 4 years of experience supervising and managing accountants in a large organization
