Position: Senior Legal Officer
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance and support to management, executives, and departments on contracts, regulatory compliance, labor laws, intellectual property, and business operations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with external parties.
- Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations while protecting the organization’s interests.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization and support compliance.
- Identify legal risks and recommend strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.
- Assist in developing and updating internal policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices.
- Protect Ethiopost’s intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
- Provide advice on corporate governance, shareholder rights, and board meetings.
- Advise on employment-related matters, including labor laws, employee contracts, and workplace policies.
- Conduct legal research and due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
