About Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX)

The Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) is Ethiopia’s first and only organized securities exchange, established as a public-private partnership in accordance with Article 31 of the Capital Market Proclamation No. 1248/2021.

ESX operates as a securities exchange and functions as a Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO), providing an integrated marketplace for equities, fixed income, and money market instruments. The Exchange is committed to developing Ethiopia’s capital market by promoting investment opportunities, expanding market participation, and supporting sustainable economic growth.

ESX is currently seeking a qualified and motivated professional to join its team as a Senior Analyst, Business and Product Development.

Position: Senior Analyst, Business and Product Development

Educational Qualification

Applicants should possess:

• Master’s Degree in one of the following fields:
  • Business Administration
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Economics
  • Law
  • Related fields

OR

• Bachelor’s Degree in the above or related fields with significant relevant work experience.

Professional Certifications (Advantage)

The following certifications will be considered an added advantage:

• CISI
• CFA
• ACCA
• PMP
• PRINCE2
• Product Management Certifications

Experience Requirements

Applicants should have relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Program management.
• Business development.
• Market development.
• Consulting roles.
• Financial services.
• Capital markets.
• Development finance.
• Banking.
• Investment.
• Corporate finance.
• Regulatory institutions.
• Academic institutions related to finance or economics.

Candidates should also have:

• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience coordinating projects or strategic programs.
• Strong understanding of capital markets and financial services.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Leading issuer development and investor relations initiatives.
• Supporting market capacity-building programs.
• Developing and promoting innovative capital market products.
• Coordinating strategic market development initiatives.
• Collaborating with internal departments, regulators, market participants, and development partners.
• Managing cross-functional projects that support ESX’s strategic objectives.
• Conducting business and market analysis to identify new opportunities.
• Supporting initiatives that enhance participation in Ethiopia’s capital market ecosystem.
