About Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA)
The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) was established under the Capital Market Proclamation No. 1248/2021 as an autonomous Federal Regulatory Authority.
One of ECMA’s primary objectives is to create and maintain a transparent, fair, efficient, and orderly capital market environment in Ethiopia where securities can be issued and traded.
As a regulatory body, ECMA grants licenses for entities to operate as:
- Securities exchanges
- Derivatives exchanges
- Securities depositories and clearing companies
- Capital market service providers
- Over-the-counter (OTC) trading facilities
- Other regulated activities as defined by its mandate
By fostering market confidence and investor protection, ECMA plays a central role in shaping Ethiopia’s emerging financial sector.
Available Positions
1. Executive Assistant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Office Management, Secretarial Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
Key Competencies:
- Attention to detail, time management, adaptability, and reliability.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Location: Addis Ababa
2. Human Capital Management Officer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Key Competencies:
- Advanced computer skills, planning and organizing, supervisory skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability and initiative in dynamic work environments.
Location: Addis Ababa
3. Head of Human Capital Management
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in management or equivalent leadership roles.
Key Competencies:
- Expertise in HR and organizational development.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and analytical abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
