Position Overview: CCR Operator
The Central Control Room (CCR) Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling production processes through automated systems (PLC) in a manufacturing environment. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for fresh graduates with technical knowledge in food science and related fields.
Key Responsibilities
Process Monitoring and Control
- Operate and monitor production units through PLC control systems
- Ensure all process parameters remain within required limits
- Adjust controls based on production conditions and supervisor instructions
- Ensure continuous and smooth material flow during operations
Reporting and Documentation
- Record hourly process data in logs or digital systems
- Prepare daily production and performance reports
- Maintain accurate records of batch numbers, downtime, and raw material usage
Coordination and Communication
- Communicate with production, quality assurance, maintenance, and warehouse teams
- Report alarms, deviations, or system abnormalities immediately
- Support QA team in sampling and testing activities
Safety and Compliance
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP)
- Adhere to all plant safety rules and PPE requirements
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment failures, or near misses
Training and Development
- Participate in on-the-job training programs
- Develop technical knowledge of process flow and control systems
- Support plant startup, shutdown, cleaning, and changeover activities
Required Qualifications
Education
- BSc Degree in:
- Food Science
- Food Technology
- Food and Nutrition
Experience
- Fresh graduates only
- No prior work experience required (training will be provided)
Duty Station
- Bishoftu, Ethiopia
