Position Overview: WASH Intern
The WASH Intern will support the Climate Resilient Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (CRWASH) program team. The role is designed for recent graduates to gain practical experience in project implementation, reporting, partner support, and field-based program activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of WASH project activities under supervision
- Assist in preparing program reports and documentation
- Support partner organizations in field-level activities
- Contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting tasks
- Participate in monitoring and evaluation of WASH interventions
- Assist in improving program implementation processes
- Engage in field visits and support project site activities
- Learn and apply WASH program standards and procedures
Required Qualifications
Education
- Recent graduate (2025/2026) in one of the following fields:
- Hydraulic Engineering
- Water Resource Engineering
- Hydrology
- Minimum CGPA: 3.5 and above
- Must have successfully passed the exit examination
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of WASH-related software, data collection, or analysis tools is an advantage
Language Requirements
- Fluency in Amharic and English is required
- Additional local language skills are an advantage

- Positive, flexible, and eager to learn
- Strong integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in multicultural environments
- Willingness to travel frequently to remote field locations
Internship Details
- Duration: 3 months (with possible 3-month extension based on funding)
- Duty Station: Addis Ababa, with frequent field travel
- Program Area: CRWASH Program (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene)
