Position: Junior Accountant
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0–1 year of relevant accounting experience (internship or practical exposure is an advantage).
- Proficiency in Peachtree Accounting Software is required.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Good command of English (Amharic language is an added advantage).
- Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team.
Role Overview
The Junior Accountant will support the Finance Department by maintaining accurate financial records, recording daily transactions, and assisting in preparing financial reports. This position is designed for recent graduates or entry-level professionals eager to gain experience in corporate accounting and financial management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Transaction Recording & Documentation
- Record daily financial transactions into the Peachtree accounting system.
- Maintain organized filing of invoices, receipts, and payment records.
2. Accounts Support
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Support in bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
3. Reporting & Compliance
- Assist in preparing basic financial reports for management review.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and accounting standards.
4. Team Support
- Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager and senior accountants.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team when needed.
