Position: Procure To Pay (PTP) Controller

The PTP Controller ensures that DHL Ethiopian Airlines Logistics Services S.C. complies with internal DHL policies, international accounting standards, and Ethiopia’s fiscal and tax regulations. The role guarantees accurate financial records, compliance, and efficient supplier and payment management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supplier & Service Provider Management

• Create and verify supplier profiles, including credit limits.
• Maintain and organize supplier files for reference and payment processing.
• Verify invoices and reconcile with system records before submission to SSC.

2. Financial Control & Reconciliation

• Reconcile supplier statements on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with suppliers and service providers.
• Review sales reporting and coordinate Gross Profit (GP) and Sick Files analysis with operational teams.

3. Tax & Compliance Administration

• Prepare and maintain documentation for all tax-related payments.
• Support tax declaration processes as required by the government.
• Ensure adherence to DPDHL global accounting policies and Ethiopia’s legal requirements.

4. Payment Processing & Reporting

• Prepare, scan, submit, and follow up payroll and payment templates to SSC.
• Ensure all payment transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger.
• Monitor and clear the C999999 account.
• Review and manage petty cash reports and vouchers.

5. Asset & Record Management

• Ensure proper safeguarding of company assets.
• Conduct annual physical checks of all company assets.
• Maintain internal financial records in compliance with audit standards.

6. Additional Duties

• Execute tasks assigned by the CFO.
• Support continuous improvement, financial accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Technical Knowledge

• Excellent understanding of DPDHL policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with DHL systems such as CW1, iShare, and other relevant tools.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, fiscal regulations, and audit procedures.

Professional Skills

• Computer proficiency, including all MS Office programs.
• Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• High level of initiative, punctuality, and time management.
• Customer relationship management skills.

Experience

• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, procurement, or logistics-related roles.
