Position: Cashier (Real Estate)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance or related fields
- Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
- Experience in the real estate sector is an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Receive payments through mobile money, bank transfers, checks, or cash in line with company policies
- Verify financial documents using bank systems or direct communication with bank tellers
- Issue official receipts and invoices in compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations
- Record daily sales and payment transactions accurately in cash books or accounting systems
- Maintain custody and safekeeping of cash at all times
- Balance cash at the end of each shift/day and prepare cash reconciliation reports
- Deposit collected cash to the bank and submit deposit slips
- Manage petty cash transactions with proper supporting documentation
- Respond professionally to customer inquiries related to payments and billing
- Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to resolve payment discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and company policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier workstation
- Uphold confidentiality, ethics, and professional conduct standards
