The foundation works in areas including health, education, and policy advocacy, supporting children and families and promoting inclusive opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
Position: Assistant Teacher
The Assistant Teacher will support the lead classroom teacher in developing and implementing activities that promote the social, emotional, and physical development of students.
The Assistant Teacher will work under the direction of the lead classroom teacher and provide support across the foundation’s educational programs.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Science, or a related field.
- 0 years of experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Specialization in Special Needs Education is an advantage.
- Knowledge of current educational and instructional methodologies and techniques.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluency in the required working language.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Teacher will:
- Assist the lead classroom teacher in classroom activities.
- Support the development and implementation of educational activities.
- Help promote students’ social, emotional, and physical development.
- Provide classroom support to students.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
- Support educational activities across kindergarten, elementary, life skills, and vocational programs.
Number of Positions
7 Assistant Teacher positions are available.
The selected candidates will support the foundation’s kindergarten, elementary, life skills, and vocational programs.
Salary and Employment
Gross Salary: ETB 7,500 per month
