Position: Communications Intern
The Communications Intern will support communication-related activities and contribute to the organization’s digital and communications work.
This opportunity is particularly suitable for a candidate with a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, digital literacy, and an interest in communications and development-sector work.
Qualifications and Experience
Educational Background
Applicants should have:
- A BA degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Development Studies, Marketing, English, or a related field.
- A strong academic track record with a CGPA of 3.5 or higher.
- An Exit Exam score of at least the 75th percentile.
- An MA/MSc in a relevant discipline is preferred.
Language Proficiency
Candidates should have:
- High professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Amharic.
Digital Literacy
Applicants should have:
- Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
- Basic knowledge of website updating.
- Familiarity with WordPress is an advantage.
Design and Software Skills
Candidates should have:
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Basic proficiency in Canva.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is an additional advantage.
