Position: Associate Treasury and Budget
Are you a finance professional eager to contribute to Ethiopia’s premier trading platform? ECX is hiring an Associate Treasury and Budget Officer to support financial operations, manage treasury processes, and contribute to budget and cash flow efficiency across its corporate accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily bank collections and payments for corporate accounts
- Assist in the development of the division’s annual operational plan
- Manage petty cash and prepare related financial documents and tax receipts
- Handle bank account openings and maintain records of all active/inactive accounts
- Maintain proper documentation of rental agreements and prepayments
- Prepare various payment instructions (petty cash, cheques, CPOs, transfer letters)
- Verify payments according to treasury procedures and standards
- Compile daily and monthly financial reports, including cash flow summaries
- Support preparation of budget variance and SLA compliance reports
- Ensure proper record-keeping and safeguarding of financial documents
- Execute any additional duties assigned by supervisors
Required Qualifications
- BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in treasury, budgeting, or financial management roles
- Strong familiarity with accounting systems, corporate banking operations, and internal controls
- Excellent document management and financial reporting skills
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong organizational capacity
