Position: Network and Infrastructure Engineer
Are you an early-career IT professional ready to take ownership of critical infrastructure projects in a fast-paced organization? EthioChicken is seeking a Network and Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimize our systems and ensure high network reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor installed infrastructure and ensure operational availability
- Perform network troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration
- Oversee infrastructure during working hours to prevent disruptions
- Collaborate with IT support staff and management to improve internal systems
- Conduct security audits, identify vulnerabilities, and suggest mitigation strategies
- Configure, test, and deploy workstation software
- Manage user accounts and software access permissions
- Respond to IT incidents and analyze hardware, network, or software failures
- Provide support to employees and offer IT-related training when required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with data center infrastructure and network systems
- Strong understanding of IT project management
- Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision

- Quality-focused with effective troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Excellent organizational and reporting ability
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Familiarity with IT compliance and security standards
