About Wasasa Microfinance S.C
Wasasa Microfinance S.C., established by the Oromo Self-Reliance Association (OSRA) in 2000, is one of Ethiopia’s pioneering microfinance institutions. Licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia (License No. MFI/017/2000), Wasasa has been empowering poor and rural communities for over two decades by providing accessible savings and credit services.
Currently, the institution operates through 51 branches and 24 rural banks, serving 58 woredas across the Oromia Regional State — with plans for continued expansion to reach more underserved areas.
Open Positions
Position 1: IT Auditor
Qualifications:
- BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related IT field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, including 2 years in IT and systems auditing.
- Strong written and spoken proficiency in English and Afan Oromo.
Duty Station: Head Office – Sebeta, Alem Gena
Salary: As per the institution’s salary scale.
Position 2: Customer Service Officer I
Qualifications:
- BA Degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, or related fields.
- Experience: Not required (relevant experience is advantageous).
- Additional Skills: Exit Exam mandatory (where applicable), MS Office proficiency, and fluency in Amharic and Afan Oromo.
Required No: 8 (Eight)
Duty Station: Branches across Oromia Regional State & Addis Ababa
Salary: As per company scale.
Position 3: Branch I Manager
Qualifications:
- BA Degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, Banking & Finance, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Amharic, Afan Oromo, and MS Office applications.
Required No: 6 (Six)
Duty Station: Branches across Oromia Regional State & Addis Ababa
