VisionFund MicroFinance Institution (S.C) was established under Proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in both rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. Currently, VisionFund operates in four regional states, empowering communities through accessible financial services.
Position: Senior Attorney – Main Branch
Educational Qualification:
- LLB Degree or Diploma in Law
- 2 years of relevant experience for degree holders; 3 years for diploma holders
- Strong communication and computer skills are advantageous
- Knowledge of civil and commercial codes, analytical and legal research skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to branches and coordinate loan recovery efforts
- Manage court processes, attend hearings, and prepare legal documentation
- Draft pleadings, motions, notices, affidavits, and other legal documents
- Strategize, prepare for, and attend trial proceedings and negotiations
- Ensure safe custody and proper management of all legal documents
- Guide and assist branch attorneys on legal cases and delinquent accounts
- Analyze laws, statutes, judicial decisions, and legal codes for case preparation
- Represent the institution before courts, police, and public authorities
- Maintain detailed legal records and reports for management
- Propose improvements to legal services and processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the administrator
