Position: Accountant
Required Qualifications
- Education: BA Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields from a recognized university
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of progressive accounting experience
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in Peachtree and Excel
- Basic knowledge of E-Tax and TASS systems is mandatory
- Familiarity with ERP systems and full Microsoft Office Suite
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Ensure timely processing of invoices, receipts, and payments
- Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, income tax, etc.) in compliance with Ethiopian regulations
- Support external auditors with necessary documentation during audits
- Conduct daily cash flow monitoring and bank reconciliations
- Assist in financial reporting and general ledger management
- Comply with accounting principles and tax obligations
- Work both independently and as part of a collaborative finance team
- Apply problem-solving and analytical thinking in day-to-day accounting tasks
