Position: Internal Audit Director
We are seeking a highly qualified Internal Audit Director to lead the internal audit function of Shabelle Bank. This senior leadership role is essential in ensuring effective risk management, internal control systems, and regulatory compliance with NBE directives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Professional certifications: CPA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA (highly desirable)
- Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, including 5 years in a leadership role within internal audit
- Strong understanding of banking operations, risk-based audit planning, and financial regulation compliance
Key Competencies & Skills:
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Expertise in risk management and internal audit frameworks
- Proficiency in audit software and financial systems
- High integrity, strong ethics, and a professional demeanor
- Strong communication and executive report writing
- Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
