The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) is a federal autonomous regulatory body established under Capital Market Proclamation No. 1248/2021. ECMA oversees the development and regulation of Ethiopia’s capital market, ensuring that securities are issued and traded in a transparent, orderly, and efficient environment. ECMA is authorized to license securities exchanges, depositories, clearinghouses, and capital market service providers.
Position: Senior Internal Auditor II
As part of its continued commitment to operational excellence and transparency, ECMA is recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor II to lead risk-based audits and help strengthen the internal control framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement internal audit programs aligned with risk priorities
- Prepare and execute risk-based annual audit plans
- Review the effectiveness of ECMA’s internal control systems and governance processes
- Conduct special audits, investigations, and compliance reviews
- Evaluate management information systems and decision-making tools
- Provide clear reports and recommendations to senior management and the Board Audit Committee
- Follow up on audit findings and ensure closure of recommendations
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure regulatory compliance
- Promote ethics, transparency, and accountability within the organization
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience
