SAMANU PLC is a leading FMCG platform company in Ethiopia with well-established brands across major consumer sectors. Its portfolio includes Tena Edible Oils, 555 and Aura Soaps & Detergents, and Chef Luca wheat products.
With strategic investment from Norfund, SAMANU is expanding its operations by constructing a new solvent extraction plant. This facility will produce edible oils from locally sourced sesame, sunflower, and soybean seeds, reducing reliance on imported raw oils and supporting Ethiopian farmers.
Position: Customer Service Officer
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business Administration from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, sales, or marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive daily sales orders and accurately enter them into the system.
- Verify customer registration and approval as authorized distributors.
- Check product availability in warehouses and confirm pricing.
- Ensure compliance with approved credit limits and company stock allocation policy.
- Generate picking lists, coordinate with warehouses, and arrange delivery.
- Oversee invoicing, discounts, and trade promotions in line with approvals.
- Monitor proof of delivery and report daily sales activities.
- Handle pending orders and communicate updates to sales and logistics teams.
- Record and resolve customer complaints via phone, email, or mail.
- Support customers with orders, refunds, or exchanges.
- Collaborate with the customer service manager to maintain service quality.
Competencies & Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of sales, marketing, and customer handling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems is an added advantage.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
- Strong teamwork spirit with problem-solving abilities.
