About Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC)

Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC) was established in 1976 through Proclamation No. 68/1975, merging thirteen private insurance firms into one national entity. Today, EIC is the largest insurer in Ethiopia, offering comprehensive coverage through an extensive branch network.

In 1994, EIC was reconstituted as a public enterprise under Proclamation No. 201/94. The corporation is currently undergoing a major transformation to enhance customer service, responsiveness, reliability, and user experience through modernized systems, improved workflows, and broader outreach initiatives.

Position: Young Professionals (Pre-Service) Program

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
• Minimum GPA: 3.2.
• Must be a 2025 Graduate (2017 E.C.).

About the Program

The Young Professionals (Pre-Service) Program is designed for outstanding fresh graduates who aspire to build a long-term career in the insurance industry.

Over a six-month structured training program, participants will:

• Receive hands-on training in underwriting, claims, finance, digital operations, and risk management.
• Participate in classroom and practical sessions on technical and soft skills.
• Receive mentorship from senior EIC professionals.
• Rotate through multiple departments for a holistic understanding of EIC operations.
• Upon successful completion, be assigned to a department that matches both their strengths and EIC’s strategic priorities.
