We are now seeking a Public Relations (PR) Assistant to join our communications team and help strengthen the school’s reputation and visibility.
Position: PR Assistant – Communications & Public Engagement
Are you a creative communicator with a passion for building positive public relations and community engagement? The PR Assistant will play a key role in supporting media relations, organizing events, and managing both internal and external communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of PR campaigns and communication strategies.
- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communications.
- Assist in maintaining strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and stakeholders.
- Manage and grow the school’s social media presence by creating engaging content.
- Organize and coordinate events, press conferences, and community activities.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare outcome reports.
- Update and maintain communication databases and contact lists.
- Support the preparation of PR materials, presentations, and reports.
- Ensure consistent branding across all platforms.
- Handle public inquiries and direct them appropriately.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of PR principles, social media, and content creation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency required).
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with design/editing tools (Canva, Photoshop, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related discipline.
