Oromia Insurance S.C. is a private insurance company licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia on January 26, 2009 to conduct general insurance business in Ethiopia.
The company began operations on February 9, 2009 with 540 founding shareholders, a paid-up capital of 26 million birr, and subscribed capital of 85 million birr. Over the years, the company expanded significantly, reaching over 840 shareholders and maintaining strong financial capacity.
One of the unique features of Oromia Insurance is its strong social base, which includes about 1.6 million low-income farmers represented through cooperative unions.

Administrative Management

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in:
Accounting
Accounting and Finance
Management
Related fields
Professional certifications such as the following are an added advantage:
ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)
Experience Requirement
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, including:
• At least 2 years as an Accountant, Auditor, or Insurance Operations Officer
OR
• 4 years experience as Junior Accountant, Auditor, Insurance Operations Officer, or equivalent position
