Position: IT Assistant / Support

Education and Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • No previous work experience is required.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to install and configure computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Ability to provide basic technical support to users.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide friendly and user-oriented technical assistance.
  • Good command of both English and Amharic.

Key Responsibilities

The IT Assistant / Support will provide day-to-day technical assistance to staff and help ensure that computers, printers, software, and other IT equipment operate effectively.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting basic hardware and software problems.
  • Installing and configuring computers and peripheral devices.
  • Supporting printers and other office IT equipment.
  • Assisting staff with basic networking and connectivity issues.
  • Providing technical support for Microsoft Office applications.
  • Helping maintain IT equipment and related records.
  • Responding to users’ technical support requests.
  • Escalating complex technical issues when necessary.
