About Operation Smile Ethiopia
Operation Smile is an international non-profit organization that provides free, safe surgeries to children and adults born with cleft lip and cleft palate. Since 2005, Operation Smile Ethiopia (OSE) has been improving access to surgical care through programs at Jimma University Medical Centre, St Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College (Addis Ababa), and Ayder Comprehensive Specialized Hospital (Tigray).
Currently, OSE is expanding its work to Hawassa University Comprehensive Specialized Hospital in Sidama Regional State.
Position: Accountant Intern
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: BA Degree in Accounting & Finance from a recognized university.
- Experience: 0 years (fresh graduates encouraged to apply).
- Languages: Strong communication skills in English & Amharic.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Internet, Teams).
- Familiarity with financial tools (advantageous).
- Behavioral Skills:
- Strong teamwork, coordination, and communication abilities.
- Highly motivated, coachable, and eager to learn.
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular hours.
Note: Applicants must have a functional laptop.
Compensation
- Internship/volunteer position (non-employment).
- Attractive stipend provided to cover daily costs.
