Position: Loss Prevention Officer
Are you alert, disciplined, and passionate about guest safety and asset protection? Join Sheraton Addis as a Loss Prevention Officer and play a key role in maintaining security standards and ensuring guest satisfaction in one of Africa’s finest luxury hotels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure hotel premises, guests, staff, and assets are secure at all times
- Respond to emergency incidents and follow protocol for safety interventions
- Maintain thorough patrol logs, reports, and incident documentation
- Assist with crowd control during events or high-traffic situations
- Monitor surveillance systems and investigate suspicious activities
- Educate staff on safety awareness and enforce hotel security protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and follow local regulations as needed
What You Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications
- Completed Secondary School education
- At least 2 years of experience in security or loss prevention roles
- Basic training in self-defense techniques is desirable
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written); additional international language is a plus
- Exceptional guest handling and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of local laws, hotel services, and security protocols
- Physically fit, alert, and able to work rotating shifts
- Strong judgment, analytical thinking, and situational awareness
