Position: Accountant
Are you a detail-oriented and reliable accounting professional with a passion for supporting educational institutions? LionHeart Academy is seeking a committed Accountant to join our Finance Department and ensure financial transparency and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in education or service sectors
- Proficiency in accounting software (Peachtree, QuickBooks) and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax law and reporting standards
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
- Strong ethics, reliability, and collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records including daily transactions, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and submit financial reports to leadership and external stakeholders
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and government regulations
- Liaise with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and vendors
- Support processing of tuition payments, invoices, and supplier contracts
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all financial matters
