POSITION: JUNIOR PHARMACIST
Qualifications:
- BSc Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university
- 1–2 years of experience in pharmacy dispensing
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement good dispensing practices for both OTC and prescription medicines
- Ensure prescriptions are dispensed accurately and in line with prescriber’s instructions
- Maintain medicine quality and integrity throughout its shelf life
- Provide correct and clear patient instructions for safe and effective medicine use
- Review and update patient personal details and medication history, especially for chronic patients
- Communicate with prescribers regarding prescription clarifications or therapy concerns
- Educate patients on medicine use, warnings, possible side effects, and precautions
- Prevent dispensing errors and ensure accurate labeling
- Verify prescription legality, completeness, and therapeutic appropriateness
- Report any suspected adverse drug reactions (ADRs) or substandard medicines
- Manage stock of prescription and OTC medications
- Adhere to regulatory and company standard operating procedures
- Maintain ethical and professional standards at all times
