ABOUT PEOPLE IN NEED
People in Need (PIN) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1992 by a group of Czech war correspondents. Guided by the principles of humanism, freedom, equality, and solidarity, PIN works globally to promote human dignity, uphold human rights, and deliver humanitarian aid in crisis situations. Today, PIN operates as a professional humanitarian organization providing support to communities in need and advocating for fundamental freedoms.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Finance Intern will support PIN’s Finance Department in Addis Ababa and assist with financial documentation, reporting, and other operational tasks. This internship is specifically open to recent female graduates who are eager to develop their skills in the NGO and humanitarian sector.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- BA degree in Accounting and Finance, Management, or related fields from a recognized university
- Graduation Year: 2024 or 2025 E.C.
- No prior work experience required (0 years)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Proficiency in spoken and written Amharic and English
- Must provide 3 strong references (will be verified)
- Only female candidates are eligible
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with daily financial record-keeping and data entry
- Support the preparation of financial reports and documentation
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive financial materials
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to departmental goals
- Participate in field visits to project sites as required
