The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI), formerly the Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA), is a government institute dedicated to accelerating the growth and transformation of Ethiopia’s agriculture sector. ATI’s work focuses on improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers to achieve higher income, inclusiveness, resilience, and sustainability.
Position: Junior Finance Officer
Qualifications & Experience:
- BA degree in Accounting from a recognized university/college.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Junior Finance Officer or in a related role.
- Proficiency in cash management and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Peachtree) is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English and Amharic; knowledge of a local language is highly desirable.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process cash/cheque receipts and payments in accordance with ATI policies.
- Deposit collections intact into designated bank accounts.
- Maintain and reconcile petty cash fund.
- Record daily transactions and update cash books.
- Handle workshop-related payments upon approval.
- Keep custody of financial documents and payment vouchers.
- Prepare weekly cash position reports.
- Ensure timely payment of office bills.
- Comply with ATI policies and ensure efficient use of resources.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
