Position: Junior Cameraman and Video Editor
Are you a skilled visual storyteller with an eye for capturing engaging content? Join Bank of Abyssinia’s media team and support the Bank’s branding and documentation efforts through high-quality video production.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Video Production & Shooting
- Assist in planning and executing video shoots, including setting up cameras, lighting, and audio equipment
- Capture high-quality footage of Bank events, seminars, and promotions from fixed or moving camera positions
- Take sole responsibility for camera operations when required
- Stay up to date with filming methods, tools, and editing best practices
2. Editing & Post-Production
- Support the editing of video content including footage, sound, narration, and motion elements
- Ensure alignment with Bank of Abyssinia’s brand and visual identity
- Participate in implementing knowledge management and documentation initiatives
3. Equipment & Technical Support
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to camera and sound equipment
- Maintain and upgrade camera and accessories as needed
- Contribute to equipment need assessments and purchase evaluations
- Manage the division’s sound system and ensure readiness for various productions
4. Collaboration & Public Image
- Assist in creating a consistent visual public image for the Bank through professional content
- Collaborate with internal teams and departments to capture required footage
- Document internal and external events as part of the Bank’s outreach and communications strategy
What You Need to Succeed:
- Education: Diploma in Cinematography, Photography, or related fields
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in cinematography (camera operation and video editing)
- Preferred: Experience in the banking industry is advantageous
- Strong understanding of filming techniques, studio setups, and camera operations
- Ability to manage technical equipment and troubleshoot media-related issues
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and commitment to quality storytelling
