Position: Junior Accountant
Are you a recent graduate eager to start your accounting career in one of Ethiopia’s most established trading and manufacturing companies? Abbahawa Trading PLC invites motivated and detail-oriented candidates to apply for the Junior Accountant role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks including entries, reconciliations, and financial tracking
- Prepare vouchers and support documentation for monthly closings
- Assist in preparing financial reports in compliance with internal and external policies
- Support audits and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with finance team members to ensure timely and accurate data entry
- Maintain proper records and filing systems for accounting documents
- Contribute to internal controls and process improvement initiatives
What You Need to Succeed:
- Education:
- First Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution
- Experience:
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience
- 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
