Position: Junior Accountant
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an ideal opportunity for fresh graduates seeking to kick-start their career in a high-growth, industrial company.
Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy in financial documentation
- Calculate company costs, expenses, payroll, invoices, and taxes (Withholding, VAT, Income Tax)
- Reconcile bank statements, manage petty cash, and verify supporting documents
- Prepare check payment vouchers and manage check payment requests
- Submit monthly schedules for deductions: Credit Association, Pension, Income Tax, VAT, etc.
- Present periodic financial reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, annual)
- Maintain data confidentiality and backup of all financial records
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and national regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance (Only Accounting & Finance majors will be considered)
- 0–1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and Ethiopian tax laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
