Position: Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
Daily Duties:
- Prepare payment vouchers, cheques, withholding tax documents, and daily petty cash reports
- Record transactions accurately and ensure timely posting of all financial data
- Issue receipts and invoices, and handle petty cash disbursements
Core Accounting Functions:
- Develop and maintain financial databases
- Ensure proper analysis of revenues and expenditures
- Monitor accounting control procedures and maintain financial compliance
- Resolve discrepancies and maintain document confidentiality
Tax & Compliance:
- Ensure timely settlement of taxes: profit tax, income tax, pension fund, and withholding tax
- Adhere to all government tax regulations
- Assist internal control development and maintain audit readiness
Support & Reporting:
- Collect and reconcile monthly bank statements
- Support external audits by providing accurate financial records
- Maintain an organized and secure financial filing system
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector
- Knowledge of Ethiopian tax law and compliance
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
- Integrity, accuracy, and the ability to manage financial records securely
