Position: Junior Accountant
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.

Solid understanding of IFRS standards.
-
Proficiency in Peachtree Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
-
Track credit sales receivables and follow up on outstanding payments.
-
Post cash and credit sales invoices, petty cash, SIVs, GRNs, and payment vouchers.

Ensure proper filing and documentation of all sales and accounting records.

Monitor income collections to ensure timely deposits and accurate accounting.
-
Verify document completeness before payments are processed from petty cash.

Prepare and submit monthly ERCA tax reports.
-
Support senior accountant in preparing financial statements.

Assist with external audits and financial reviews.
-
Prepare cash receipt and payment vouchers under supervision.
-
Deposit collected cash promptly and provide deposit slips to the supervisor.

Handle bank communications, collect bank statements and advice notices.

Research and maintain a reliable vendor database for procurement needs.

Oversee timely and quality delivery of purchased goods to stores.

Assist in processing contracts and verifying compliance through site visits and audits.

Facilitate vendor payments and assist in procurement follow-ups.

Perform other finance and admin-related tasks as needed.
