Through research, institutional support, and capacity-building programs, MERSA helps strengthen professional unions, journalism education centers, and media outlets across the country.
Position Summary: Project Associate
Are you a fresh graduate eager to kick-start your career in media development and project coordination? Join MERSA Media Institute as a Project Associate and contribute to initiatives that shape the future of Ethiopia’s media landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with project planning and implementation in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Manage digital content (web publishing, graphic design, audio-visual materials).
- Support procurement processes (prepare TORs, collect bids, evaluate quotes).
- Organize travel logistics and event arrangements for project participants.
- Schedule and coordinate internal and stakeholder meetings (agendas, minutes).
- Monitor and analyze social media performance to inform strategies.
- Prepare communication materials: press releases, website updates, reports, speeches.
- Maintain project documentation and resource databases.
- Support new business development initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MD), Information Technology, Law, Economics, Social Sciences, or related fields.
- 0 years of experience – Fresh graduates encouraged to apply!
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Suite.
Preferred Skills
- Social media management and analytics (tracking reach, engagement, demographics).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Passion for learning and adaptability in dynamic environments.
