To strengthen our HR capacity in the field, we are hiring a qualified HR Officer to support day-to-day HR operations and compliance in Ogaden.
Position: HR Officer – Petroleum Sector (Field Office)
Key Responsibilities
- Advertise job openings, screen candidates, and schedule interviews
- Manage onboarding and orientation of new staff
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and documentation
- Process new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions
- Address staff inquiries on policies, benefits, and procedures
- Support grievance and disciplinary processes
- Monitor employee attendance and leave management
- Facilitate staff performance appraisals and development tracking
- Organize training and capacity-building initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor laws and company policies
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
- Experience in field-based HR operations is a plus
