HOPE Enterprises was established in 1971 when American missionaries Jack and Evangel Smith opened their home in Addis Ababa to twenty street children, providing them with education, basic necessities, vocational training, and care.
Following the Smith family’s departure from Ethiopia, the organization continued under the leadership of dedicated Ethiopians, maintaining its mission of empowering vulnerable individuals and helping them become self-sufficient through education and community support.
