One such initiative is the Higher Tier Cooking Component (HTCC), a clean cooking market support project under the broader Strengthening the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem for the Clean Cooking Sector program, implemented in collaboration with SNV and funded by the Netherlands Development Agency (RVO).
Internship Overview
GIZ Ethiopia is looking for a motivated and proactive Intern to support the HTCC Project, with a special focus on the Innovation Challenge Fund (ICF) and Result-Based Financing (RBF) activities. This is an exciting opportunity for fresh graduates seeking hands-on experience in international development and the clean energy sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related fields
- Must have graduated within the past two years
- Strong research and presentation skills
- Some understanding of the energy sector (an advantage)
- Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of Office 365 and virtual meeting tools is a plus
- Self-motivated, organized, and proactive
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and follow-up of ICF-supported projects
- Support contract management and technical activities under the RBF component
- Compile periodic and ad hoc project reports
- Organize logistics for events, workshops, and field visits, including post-event reporting
- Draft and update communication materials
- Contribute to various other project tasks as assigned
